A charming little design to ring in the New Year. Hope you like!

My newest Posh Pet Digs design: Cutting hedge portraiture of your favorite pets! This is a sweet Sheltie named Gracie. The rings and bars on the pillows are little graphic hints of Gracies’ fun with agility training. Her owner likes chickadees and goldfinches and, well, I just got carried away with the whole thing. Can you tell?

My most recent design- the Peace topiary. Isn’t it about time? Believe it or not I had this sketched out in my notebook before the Gardener’s Supply catalog came out featuring a peace symbol wreath on the cover! I am seeing it everywhere. Green and Peace… a great combination. I like the theme. Plant love. Grow peace. I DO believe when we practice love in our “sphere of influence” that peace is the fruit. I would love to see it on a larger scale, wouldn’t you?

I picture this design in some form on t-shirts and totebags one day. It’s a great message… especially for a peace lovin’ gardener! Until then this design is available on blank notecards, linen guest towels and limited edition prints.

I am so excited about this design. As you can tell I am on a “dog in the garden, on the furniture” kick. The offical name is Posh Pet Digs- Cutting Hedge Portraiture of Your Favorite Pet. One of the things I love about doing dog portraits is researching the various breed that is being featured. For instance…I didn’t know that the Pug is often referred to as the Foo Dog. They were originally bred for Chinese royalty and yet THEY consider THEMSELVES royalty! As an artist I have the opportunity to incorporate the numerous elements into an image that captures the personality and sometimes the history of the breed. I hope you like this design. It’s one of my favorites!

Here is the new German Shepherd design that I’ve been working on.  Can you tell what Logan and Camo’s favorite toys are? I will be adding this image to the website along with product options this week. It will be available on limited edition pillows, prints, guest towels, lavender sachets and notecards. I haven’t given it a title yet…any ideas?…suggestions?

Once this website redesign is done I will be so glad to get back to my drafting table and paint! I have some fun new designs on the way. Here is a sneak peek at my next illustration. One of my customer’s two beautiful German Shepherds (shown below) are featured lounging happily on a lovely camelback topiary sofa. Their favorite toys- tennis balls, sticks and frisbees surround them. Too cute. Other dog breeds that will be featured soon are Pugs, Jack Russell Terriers and maybe our wacky Yellow Lab- Gracie. This is a picture of our sweet Oliver. He was the model for my Lab of Luxury design shown below. Although he looks sophisticated in the painting, don’t be fooled- he’s a goof. Word has it that he’s the best dog around. I’m alittle biased.
