Sometimes it takes me a while to fineness a design. I will come across the sketch from time to time and ponder it while moving on to something else. Then suddenly it MUST take shape, come to life or find its voice. I love it when that happens. This bunny holding the 19th Hole topiary flag has been peeking out at me for years. So glad that he’s here now.
I personally am not a golfer unless you consider my Goofy Golf credentials (otherwise known as Putt-Putt golf). I am killer at putting through the moving windmill… just saying.
Back to the design… originally he was a intended for a birthday greeting card (which is still in the works) but since then I have decided to offer him on other products. Wouldn’t a nice set of marble coasters or notecards with The 19th Hole design make a sweet gift for your favorite golfing friend? I thought so too.

Hope this little fellow didn’t scare you in his ghostly sheet.
It’s quite a disquise, don’t you think. : )
This design will soon be available on Greeting Cards and Linen Guest Towels at http://michellemasters.com
Finally! My newest design “Hawaiian Hedge” for the upcoming 2012 Philadelphia International Flower Show– Hawaii: Islands of Aloha. It’s a lot of fun to create new images based on the theme of the show. Last year’s Paris Hedge was a hit and as you can see, the bunnies from Hedges & Hares are at it again this year! This design will be available on Notecards, Framed/Matted Prints, Linen Guest Towels, Lavender Sachets, Limited Edition Pillows and Coasters.
If you’ve never been to the Philadelphia Flower Show you really should put it on your bucket list! It is unlike any other flower show that you will ever see. I can’t wait to see the tropical paradise this year. Here are highlights from the 2010 show!
I’m supposed to be getting ready for the Philly Flower Show… making lots of inventory… but lately I’m inspired with many “must paint” illustrations. I’ve been mulling this little guy over for a while. The horse will be topiary (of course) and the bunny is holding a long carrot as a lance in his right arm. The reins will be a string of daisy flowers. The finished design will be on an Encouragement greeting card. The front will say “Take courage…” the inside will say “you can do it!” Simple and sweet. Now, the ears are so expressive on these little bunnies and I’ve been deliberating on whether they should be up or down. What do you think?
